Re-establishing Reefs An existing aluminum seawall had no life beyond a few barnacles. Adding Mangrove Reef Wall panels created a substrate for oyster recruitment that has become a thriving reef filtering water and creating habitat for a variety of species. The installation is located at the dead-end of a canal and demonstrates the potential for water filtration and habitat by establishing living seawalls in these locations.
